Broadcast Meteorologist, Interviewer & Voiceover Talent

Born and raised in Upstate New York, Matt recognized at a young age a passion for broadcasting and weather. With his eyes peeled to local newscasts, he was captivated by wide shots of TV news studios, anchors sitting at news desks, and studio cameras. He recognized then it would be a career he would someday pursue. With a strong interest in science, the changeable weather in the Northeast ignited a passion for weather forecasting. From crippling snow and ice storms to summertime severe thunderstorms, Matt was in awe of the power of Mother Nature. He kept daily weather observation logs, saved allowance money to purchase a weather satellite system to monitor the weather in real-time (the Internet was a newcomer at the time), and launched a local weather forecast telephone line to provide forecasts to the public.

 

Since then, his 30-year career has included work as a radio talk show host, producer, reporter, voiceover talent and on-camera meteorologist and interviewer. A lifelong learner, he is currently pursing a master's degree in applied meteorology with aspirations to someday teach.
